Foxy Shazam with special guest Moondough at Turntable in Indianapolis on Saturday, March 7!
Fozy Shazam
Foxy Shazam are a genre-defying Cincinnati rock institution, known for turning maximalist glam, soul, pop, and rock into a wildly theatrical, high-voltage spectacle. Formed in 2004, the band built a cult reputation through frenetic live shows led by acrobatic frontman Eric Nally—an operatic, uncontainable performer often likened to a Freddie Mercury–level force of nature. Early releases like The Flamingo Trigger and Introducing earned national acclaim, leading to major tours with The Strokes and Panic! At The Disco, a Sire Records deal, and a Billboard-charting self-titled album produced by Rob Cavallo and John Feldmann. Their 2011 breakthrough The Church of Rock and Roll spawned Top 40 rock singles, major syncs, festival appearances, and comparisons to Queen, Meat Loaf, and My Chemical Romance before the band entered a hiatus in 2014.
Since reforming in 2020, Foxy Shazam have been more prolific than ever, releasing four independent albums and touring relentlessly with a revitalized lineup. Their 2025 release Animality Opera earned five-star reviews for its raw theatrical power, while their upcoming tenth album Box of Magic—due October 2025 and recorded at EastWest Studios—marks a bold, classic-rock counterpoint led by the single “Magic.” The band’s profile continues to expand through major DC projects with James Gunn, including music and on-screen appearances in Superman and Peacemaker. Cinematic, inclusive, and larger than life, Foxy Shazam remain one of modern rock’s most singular live acts as they carry their explosive new era to festivals and tours throughout 2025.
