Prince Daddy & The Hyena
Watch | Listen
It’s a very natural human phenomenon to be scared of death. Whether it’s the idea of your own impending doom that’s rattling around your skull or the mortality of those close to you, such thoughts are part of the curse of human consciousness. Yet for Kory Gregory, that fear was extreme. So extreme, in fact, that when Prince Daddy & The Hyena were in the middle of making this third full-length, the vocalist/guitarist of the Albany, NY band had to take some time out from, well, everything.

Blending emo, punk, pop-punk, indie rock, and flashes of folk and ska, Combat play with the urgency of a band on the verge of explosion. Frontman Holden Wolf delivers stream-of-consciousness lyrics that swing between self-aware humor and brutally honest introspection, turning quarter-life doubt and mental spirals into shoutable anthems. Produced by Ryland Heagy (Origami Angel), Stay Golden sounds bigger and sharper without losing the raw, DIY energy that built their following in the first place.
Ambitious, theatrical, and deeply personal, Combat are proving they’re more than a basement favorite—they’re a band stepping confidently into their next chapter.

Formed in Ventura, California, by childhood friends Dustin Hayes, Kris Schobert, and Jake Lee, Walter Etc. has spent more than a decade crafting heartfelt indie rock and pop-punk. Originally known as Walter Mitty and His Makeshift Orchestra, the band returned from a hiatus in 2016 under the name Walter Etc., embracing a flexible lineup while staying true to the songwriting and friendship that started it all. Their latest music marks a return to their pop-punk roots, blending raw emotion, infectious melodies, and introspective lyrics into songs that resonate long after the last note.
