Such a Night: A Tribute to The Band’s Last Waltz
Such a Night began as a one-night-only idea nobody could let go of. Formed in 2012 after the passing of Levon Helm, what started as a single tribute to The Band's farewell concert has become an Indianapolis tradition — a faithful, full-throated recreation of the soundtrack to Martin Scorsese's The Last Waltz.
At the center: core band The Haters, backed by the infamous Socko Horns, with a rotating cast of Indianapolis legends stepping into the shoes of Dylan, Van Morrison, Muddy Waters, Joni Mitchell, and the rest of that once-in-a-lifetime lineup.
This Thanksgiving marks 50 years since the original concert at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom — and the show that was supposed to happen once keeps happening.
