At just 22 years old, COSTA is a rising bass artist whose sound is rooted in hip hop culture and fueled by high-energy crowd anthems. Originally from New York and now based in the DMV while attending the University of Maryland, his journey into music started unexpectedly, learning to DJ as a new-member task for his fraternity. What began as an obligation quickly turned into an obsession.

Growing up on hip hop and spending his high school and early college years throwing underground shows as a promoter, COSTA developed a deep understanding of crowd energy and song selection early on. His style blends those hip hop roots with the sing-along anthems and explosive moments he experienced at fraternity parties, flipping classic records from his childhood into modern bass weapons designed for maximum impact.

He began producing hip hop in 2021, but everything changed in 2024 after attending his first bass music show. Inspired by the raw energy and sound design of the scene, COSTA fully pivoted into bass production, and the results came fast. In his first year producing bass music, his flips amassed over 5 million streams, earning support from Excision, Subtronics, Crankdat, Levity, ALLEYCVT, and Zeds Dead.
